Today Layla and I are going on our first Mommy Date. We met another Mommy and baby the other day walking to the grocery market and today we are meeting for coffee & a walk. I am not as nervous as I thought I might be. I guess I feel like Mommies are on a special wavelength - they subliminally understand one another. It is kinda like going on a date, though. I did wake up early to make sure I looked all right (even if I did choose the first outfit I put on) - I put on a little mascara (more so for myself though - there is something about mascara that makes you feel fresh - gives your eyes that little extra pop.) Now I am relaxing for a moment, gathering up my thoughts and questions, and giving Layla a chance to sleep just a few minutes longer. We never wake up this early, so things could get interesting. I am very much looking forward to taking a nice walk and enjoying the company of another human being that just gets what I am going through - all the fun things that come along with Motherhood.
