We love going to this little local "Zoo". It really is more....this place is to a zoo the way a carnival is to an amusement park. But this it is well established, has been around since I was a kid, and takes in all kinds of animals that wouldn't survive otherwise. I love how you can interact with the animals in ways traditional zoos would never allow. The biggest, most fun and rewarding example of this is getting to feed the animals. The carnivores eat peanuts and the herbivores eat popcorn. Buga goes around feeding peacocks, sheep, goats, pigs, cows, monkeys, bears, ducks, horses, tigers, Bambi...She still tells me the story about when Bambi ate the popcorn right out of her hands..."like this..." she says opening her hand flat and wide.
